“It’s our little boy Rory’s wish to walk and we are doing everything we can to make it a wish come true.
This gofundme is to help cover the costs of our cerebral palsy warrior Rory’s double femoral osteotomy surgery along with double hip pemberton fosteotomy surgery in Boston Children’s hospital next June followed by 3/4 years of neurological rehabilitation.
Rory has just begun pre-op treatment in the rehabilitation centre and will continue to attend right up until his surgeries next June.
It was hoped that Rory would have his surgeries this July but due to problems obtaining his medical equipment, Covid19 issues and the fact that Rory is a lot weaker than we initially thought the decision has been made to try and push out the surgeries until next June.
Looking at the positives Rory will benefit hugely from the time in the rehabilitation centre before his surgeries to get built up and become stronger! The stronger Rory is pre-op the easier recovery will be for him.
With your love and support we hope that Rory can achieve something simply wonderful which will change Rory’s life forever. Rory is full of hope, he is so determined and he wants to walk, we believe that he will do it!
Rory is a little fighter, he is the sunshine in our family, he means everything to us and with your help we can give our little Rory the care for life that he deserves and the best chance possible with his wish to walk.”
